Top 20 in 2020!

Another year is drawing to a close, and we would like to reflect on ECTC’s accomplishments of 2020.  Although this year brought many challenges for many industries, we are glad that we as an organization were able to continue promoting the use of erosion control products through industry leadership and education.

We are proud to announce our Top 20 from 2020:

  1. Launched a new mobile-friendly website.
  2. Executed a digital marketing campaign, focusing on raising brand awareness through Facebook and LinkedIn.
  3. Launched 6 Spanish-translated Installation Videos, added to our YouTube channel, and posted on Facebook and LinkedIn.
  4. Honored many of the “Behind the Scenes” people who make the industry work.
  5. Formed an Operations Subcommittee.
  6. Finished and promoted our industry paper on Erosion Control Product Testing.
  7. Completed a new SRFR CAD page on our website.
  8. Updated our SRFR Specification document.
  9. Approved a new HECP Fact Sheet document.
  10. Promoted our RECP Fact Sheet across our social media channels.
  11. Promoted our HSBA Specifications across our social media channels.
  12. Promoted our ECTC Toolbox article across our social media channels.
  13. Created a new “What’s Trending at ECTC” page on our website, featuring new committee projects and endeavors.
  14. Passed updates to Bylaws and Governance documents to shore up membership levels and definitions.
  15. Completed DropBox project so future officers have access to ECTC assets and intellectual information.
  16. Technical Chair Simms met with NTPEP ECP Leadership about some of the Council’s ideas and concerns.
  17. Launched a Specification email campaign to nearly 3,000 engineer contacts.
  18. Submitted OSHA grant for a new safety video.
  19. Continued to establish our brand as a leader in the Erosion Control industry.
  20. Continued to raise awareness and advancing the knowledge, experience, and expertise of Erosion and Sediment Control.

 We would like to express our appreciation to everyone who helped make these accomplishments possible.  Our council will remain steadfast in our commitment to work diligently to protect against soil erosion and to improve water quality, which sets the foundation for more sustainable and effective erosion and sediment control solutions.
