COMMITTEES

The information below outlines the various committees for participation in ECTC. If you are interested and wish to sign up as a member, receive mailings or for committee service, please contact the ECTC Staff for more information.

Marketing Committee

Mission of Committee: The purpose of the marketing committee is to promote the use and acceptance of erosion control materials to specifiers, installers, contractors and others in a position to decide on erosion control practices or influence those decisions. The marketing committee is also responsible for increasing the visibility of the ECTC as an organization within the industry. Responsibilities include ECTC Website Development (in conjunction with the Website Advisory Committee) promotion of the organization and its mission at industry trade shows and events, acting as liaison with other industry groups, and working with state and federal governments to gain recognition and credibility. In addition, the Marketing Committee handles development of all ECTC promotional materials, communications with the press and delivery of information as requested by industry contacts.

Testing and Standards Committee (Technical Committee)

Mission of Committee: This committee is charged with developing industry test standards that will serve to promote the interests of the ECTC members. The Testing and Standards Committee has been very active in the review and rewrite of several industry documents.

Editorial Review Committee

Mission of Committee: To create and implement an effective practice of document review (specifications, technical papers, publication articles, marketing collateral, etc.), either created internally by ECTC or received externally by industry related entities, such that the final published documents meet the quality and content standards of ECTC.

 


The Erosion Control Technology Council (ECTC) is a non-profit organization. Its mission is to develop performance standards, uniform testing procedures, and guidance on the application and installation of rolled erosion control products ( RECPs ), hydraulic erosion control products (HECPs) and sediment retention fiber rolls (SRFRs). The ECTC promotes the use of erosion control mats and blankets through industry leadership and education in the hope of making a broad contribution to the science of erosion control and environmental preservation.
