Below are links to flow rate demonstration videos. In the videos, the bottom of each channel contains a fully vegetated TRM product. The flow rates demonstrated are a variety of shear stress levels. The purpose of these videos is to illustrate the force at each level of shear stress and to give viewers an idea of the water flow for each shear stress (2lb, 4lb, 6lb or 8lb).

ECTC thanks ErosionLab for the use of their facilities for videotaping these channel shear stress videos.

Windows Media Player or MPlayer are required for viewing these files (WMV) on line. If you do not have either of these programs visit the link below to download Windows Media Player (for windows or mac platforms)

The Erosion Control Technology Council (ECTC) is a non-profit organization. Its mission is to develop performance standards, uniform testing procedures, and guidance on the application and installation of rolled erosion control products ( RECPs ), hydraulic erosion control products (HECPs) and sediment retention fiber rolls (SRFRs). The ECTC promotes the use of erosion control mats and blankets through industry leadership and education in the hope of making a broad contribution to the science of erosion control and environmental preservation.
